City of Helena will resume construction on the Beattie St. Trailhead and Street Improvement Project beginning Monday, May 18.

Project construction initially began on April 6 but halted three days later when Lewis & Clark Dist. Court granted a temporary restraining order to two Helena residents who filed a complaint against the project. An evidentiary hearing was held on May 4, and earlier this week Judge Seeley denied the complainant’s request for a preliminary injunction to discontinue the project.

Construction will be completed in two phases. The trailhead will be largely completed by the end of May and the street improvements are slated to wrap up by the end of July. The site remains closed to the public while work is ongoing.

Construction meetings will continue to be held Thursdays at 4 p.m. via the online conference platform, GoToMeeting. To participate in the meetings, visit: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/895481045 or call (571) 317-3112 and enter access code: 895-481-045.
