Rodney Street Construction to Resume

The City expects construction activity to begin June 13.

HELENA, Mont. - Construction will resume on Rodney Street in Helena this summer as the City continues phase II of the multi-year project. The City expects construction activity to begin June 13 and continue through summer of 2023. The upcoming work will start at Helena Avenue and move south down Rodney Street.

The project team does not expect any outages, related to gas or electric utilities, but there will be occasional disruption to water and sewer service. Residents will receive 48 hours’ notice prior to water and sewer outages.

The Rodney Street Project is reconstructing the roadway and utility infrastructure from Helena Avenue to Division Street over the course of several years. It is being completed in three phases.

The City would like to remind the community that the construction area will be hazardous, and the public should always stay out of the work zone.

More information on the project can be found on the City's Infrastructure Projects webpage. Questions about the Rodney Street construction should be directed to City Engineer, Matt Culpo, at mculpo@helenamt.gov or (406) 447-8073.
