The Helena Fire Department will host a public ceremony on Friday (June 28) to celebrate its’ new Type 3 Wildland Fire Truck. The event will take place at Fire Station 1 (300 Neill Avenue) starting at 3 p.m. The ceremony is a common tradition among Fire Departments and is known as a push-in ceremony. It includes the washing of the vehicle before slowly rolling the truck backward into the station with members of the community symbolically pushing.
