The City of Helena Community Facilities Department is soliciting proposals from qualified Consultants to provide consultant services for the following project:

City of Helena Fire Station and Training Facility

The firm shall provide all services including, but not be limited to, design, mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering services, and construction administration to complete the project. Proposals are due on or before December 19, 2024 at 5:00pm MST.

Questions:

  • Could you provide any preliminary or conceptual planning and design work completed thus far for the City of Helena Fire Station #3? This might include conceptual designs, programming, site analysis, or feasibility studies conducted to date.
    • There has been no preliminary design work. There was a master plan developed in 2022 that supports the need for an additional fire station and is linked above.
  • Is there a detailed cost breakdown for the project scope that supports the established $6.5 million budget?
    • There is some breakdown in the master plan, but no breakdown for construction, infrastructure, or design.
  • Can you share who will be serving on the selection committee?
    • The selection committee for a design firm is comprised of the Fire Chief, the Assistant Fire Chief, the Facilities Director, the Facilities Manager, and the Community Development Director.
