City of Helena Plans Slash Pile Burning for Feb. 20

HELENA, Mont. – The City of Helena’s Open Lands division is tentatively planning to burn slash piles on Mount Ascension, Thursday (Feb. 20). The burning crew will start around 9:30 a.m. and work near the Archery Range parking area. The pile burning activity is subject to Montana Department of Environmental Quality approval, is weather dependent, and subject to change.
