HELENA, Mont. – The City of Helena will start discussing details of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget with the Commission in April, with department presentations beginning at the April 17 Administrative Meeting. Each City department will present their proposed budget for the next fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) to the Commission prior to the City Manager preparing a preliminary budget in June. The proposed schedule for preparing the 2025 Fiscal Year budget is:
Presentations April 17 at 4 p.m. – Administrative Meeting May 1 at 4 p.m. – Special Administrative Meeting May 14 at 4 p.m. – City-County Joint Commission Meeting May 15 at 4 p.m. – Administrative Meeting May 29 at 2 p.m. – Administrative Meeting

The presentation schedule is subject to change. All of the budget meetings will be open to the public and public comment will be accepted.
