HELENA, Mont. – The City of Helena is discussing changes to its Land Use Fees, which will be considered by the City Commission in August. A public hearing has been set for August 12 at 6 p.m. These fees, which are part of the Community Development Department’s budget, have not changed in over 27 years.
A draft of the changes was presented to the City Commission at an Administrative Meeting as well as a regular Commission Meeting in July. Leading up to the August 12 meeting, the Community Development Department is seeking feedback on the changes from stakeholders. Part of the update will include a proposed fee waiver process and input from the development community will help ensure the process is established thoughtfully.
